Chapter 3

Suddenly, I felt someone almost shake me to wake up. I looked up and saw a familiar face. It was my friend Sara. Sara and I were best of friends in high school and when school finished well, we slowly grew further apart. It sucked. Back at school I wasn't Mrs.Popular or anything. Sara and Haya were my only 2 friends. I quickly stood up and gave her a huge hug. I miss her so much. I didn't see her all summer and up until now and both of us had found new friends to go out with and share secrets.

Sara: OMG Faay sh5barii!! I haven't seen you since end of school!! How are you?
Fay: I knoooow! I am great how are you ?
Sara: I'm okay. How come you are here? Don't tell me your'e going to uni in Australia too??
Fay: Actually I am :D I'm super excited!
Sara: Which uni will you be going to? I'm going to University of Western Australia to study engineering.
Fay: No waaaaaay??! I'm going there too bs I'm studying Psychology.
Sara: That's soo cool! & we are going to be on the same flight too. I'll try and see if I can get a seat next to you.
Fay: Yea it's a long flight we have a long time to catch up.

We continued talking until it was time for us to board the plane. I headed on first and Sara was behind me. Surprisingly we were sat almost next to eachother. There was one person between us so we kindly asked the woman if she wouldn't mind swapping seats with us and so we had 17 hours to catch up with our lives. We talked about our summers and what we did and how our grades were and other really random stuff like " I now actually like carrots". Anyway, the time passed by pretty quickly and we each slept for like 4 hours. We had finally landed in Perth airport and grabbed our luggage. Both of us had like 3 huge suitcases each which we couldn't help but laugh at because none of us were like fashion queens or anything. Our sense of style was like a sweatshirt and tracksuit bottoms. As I followed the signs to Arrivals I could see Fahed waiting there with a huge smile on his face. As I got to the exit he came and helped me with my bags. I didn't ask Sara who was taking her to her apartment so I was looking around trying to find a girl with jet black hair among all these blonde people.

Fahed: Who are you looking for?
Fay: I'm looking for my friend. Long story short we were best friends and just saw her and we were next to eachother on the plane.
Fahed: Oh ok.

I found her. I ran to her and asked if she needed any help with anything. She said she was going to take a taxi but I told her she was welcome to come with us. We ended up dropping her off at her apartment and then headed to mine. I just dropped my bags there and ran back down to the car and told Fahed to take me to Saras. I helped her unpack everything and set everything all up. The apartment was really nice. It was small so perfect for just her. It was so cozy since the living room was a coffee colour. I thought about painting my living room a dark mocha colour since mine was just cream. She had a cream sofa with brown cushions and a really nice glass coffee table. I must say I was really jelous. Maybe if I did my apartment I would start to appreciate it and it might look better. Her living room looked like this:

The next day we ended up doing my apartment with the help of Fahed of course so we got the job done pretty quick. By 4 pm we finished so we all headed out for lunner (half way between lunch & dinner). I was soo fancying some salmon so we went to a japanese restaurant called Nine Fine Food. If any of you are heading to Australia you HAVE to try their salmon smoked in genmai tea. I can't get enough of it. By a week all of us had become even closer to each other and I saw a little spark between Sara and Fahed. University would begin in a week and I was really excited. I was the happiest I had ever been.
